With over 30 years of dedicated service to PPEP, I have had the privilege of evolving within the organization, starting as an administration staff member back in 1990/1991. What began as part-time coverage at the 802 building, known as the 806 building, soon blossomed into a full-time role across various departments, including the Encompass Department, now recognized as the PPEP Integrated Care IDD Department.
My journey took an unexpected turn in 1995 when Dr. Arnold personally requested my assistance as a full-time receptionist during a colleague's medical leave. This experience led me to explore a new path within the Behavioral Health Department, where I served as an intake worker for an impressive 27 years, until the department's closure in 2022.
In 2015/2016, an opportunity arose for me to extend my impact to the IDD Program, allowing me to split my time between two vital departments until recent changes. Today, as the Office Manager of the IDD Department, I take pride in supervising a dedicated team of two staff members. The joy I find in this role stems from the knowledge that I am actively contributing to positive change within the department, fostering meaningful connections with our members and ensuring a supportive environment for my colleagues.
My motivation thrives on the opportunity to collaborate with my team, streamlining processes, and enhancing efficiency to facilitate their work. The genuine interactions and sense of community that I have cultivated over the years fuel my passion for what I do, inspiring me to continually strive for excellence in all aspects of my work.
